The Merzouga run is three days and two nights — over the High Atlas, down through the Dades Valley, camels into the dunes and a night at the desert camp. Past that sit the eight to twelve-day tours taking in the imperial cities, the coast and the south. Most of the longer tours begin at Casablanca airport, where your driver meets you at arrivals; the Merzouga run is the one that starts in Marrakech.
On a multi-day tour the same driver stays with you for the whole route, so the car is yours for the trip rather than a series of handovers. If you land at Casablanca we meet you at arrivals. It is 243 km, about two hours forty, down to Marrakech.
